About Sub One Hoagie

Family Owned since 1992

Located in Charlotte’s historic Fourth Ward District, Sub One Hoagie opened its door September 1992. Richard Jones left his corporate job to pursue his dream of owning his own business. At the time, the location of the business was not the best for opening a sandwich shop, but the vision given to him was far greater than anyone could have imagined. Working inside the vision has granted Sub One Hoagie House to become a staple in the community. Thousands of people have had a chance to share in the development of Sub One Hoagie House. For over 30 years, our customers have given us the opportunity to succeed and continue to do so. With the revitalization of Charlotte downtown, the shop has  gained great attention and a loyal customer base. Today, Sub One is known to be a pillar business in the community and one of the cities main attractions.

The family business has been the first job for many of the teenage family members, introducing them to the importance of having great work ethic, whether it was preparing drinks for customers, being the cashier or wiping down tables. So come on by for one of the best sub/hoagies in Charlotte. Pick up, dine in, or just to say “hello", as you are always Welcome in our House.

Best Lunch:
Sub One Hoagie

This unassuming storefront for Sub One Hoagie is tucked away in a Fourth Ward strip mall on Graham Street, but we highly suggest you seek it out. The subs are high quality, which other chains claim on commercials but don’t carry through on. Most of all, the family that runs it, led by owner Richard Jones, his son Derek and nephew Aaron, could not be nicer folks. It’s a go-to for us in the office when we’re feeling indecisive, because Sub One never lets you down or leaves you broke.

Aaron

Hey fam, I’m Aaron a Charlotte native. I attended the historic West Charlotte Senior High School!!! C/O 93. When I’m not serving our customers, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. Also in my spare time I enjoy yard work, singing and of course golfing!!!

It is a privilege and honor to work with family everyday for more than 25 years. We were taught and learned "family over everything" at an early age.

My ultimate goal is to help keep the legacy going forward from generation to generation.
